《金色之名》 泥塑电影短片,多屏影像及现场装置 尺寸可变 在双屏影像中,泥土塑造的人物在黑白世界中不断前行,影像开头呈现了一个黑白的世界,黑与白是残酷也是幽默,是真实又是幻念,是人间也是隔世。 故事情节用泥土塑造了人物,泥土的材质赋予人物身躯粗粝的质感,如同历经创伤,象征着那些不可回避的困境和磨难。故事的脉络则暗示着人必须主动面对林林总总的问题和现实。泥土的人物在集体创造一件巨大的不可见全貌的擎天大物,这大物内在是金色的世界,发出召唤和诱惑的光色与声音,人类集体在前仆后继的为它劳作,不惜牺牲彼此,他们取出自身或对方的一部分,献祭给这个大物,大物却不断吞掉为它劳作的人类。一个电子计数时钟在飞速的倒行,在“泥与肉”之间忽隐忽现。整个影片预留了一些意义不明的、开放的阐释空间。擎天大物是不是巴别塔的象征?时间任性倒流着,是不是象征如梦幻泡影般的过往?或许整个影片是对人类集体行为的反思?也或是人类生老病死宿命的寓言? 与此同时,配合幕墙影像存在的装置散落在周围,屏幕嵌在雕塑里被安置在地面上,金色世界里是翻滚着的人物,仿佛被放置在金色“脐带”里,观众低头观看时如同在井中窥见生命之泉,这充满魔幻的体验感加强了命运的感知。 Clay stop-motion animation short film, multi - screen images and on-site installations Variable in size In the double-screen image, the characters shaped by mud are constantly moving forward in the black and white world. At the beginning of the image, a black and white world is presented. Black and white are both cruel and humorous, real and fantasy, and both human and otherworldly. The plot of the story uses the soil to shape the characters. The material of the soil imparts a rough texture to the characters' bodies, as if they have experienced trauma, symbolizing those unavoidable difficulties and hardships. The context of the story suggests that one must proactively confront the myriad problems and realities. The clay figures are collectively creating a huge invisible celestial thing, which is a golden world inside, emitting the light color and sound of calling and seduction. The human collective is working for it one after another, even at the expense of each other. They take part of themselves or each other and sacrifice to the big thing, but the big thing keeps eating up the human beings working for it. An electronic counting clock was racing backwards, flickering between "mud and meat". The whole film leaves some open space for interpretation of unclear meaning. Is it the symbol of the Tower of Babel? Time willful flow back, is it a symbol of the past like a dream? Perhaps the whole film is a reflection on collective human behavior? Or an allegory of human life and death? At the same time, the devices supporting the image of the curtain wall are scattered around, and the screen is embedded in the sculpture and placed on the ground. The rolling figures in the golden world seem to be placed in the golden "umbilical cord". When the audience looks down, it is like seeing the spring of life in the well, which is full of magical experience and strengthens the perception of destiny.

耿 雪


1983年生于吉林。2007年中央美术学院雕塑系本科毕业,并获学士学位。2014年中央美术学院版画系研究生毕业,获硕士学位,导师徐冰教授。现任教于中央美术学院雕塑系。作品涉及陶瓷、雕塑、绘画、影像等不同媒介。

受邀参加的重要展览包括2019年第58届威尼斯双年展中国馆、2018年第21届澳大利亚悉尼双年展、2017年第57届威尼斯双年展平行展、2014韩国釜山双年展等。作品在中国及英、美、法、德、意、西班牙、奥地利、瑞士、芬兰、荷兰、日、韩、印尼、澳大利亚、南美洲等地重要美术馆和博物馆展出。

曾被邀请参加韩国光州毅斋美术馆、日本濑户市立美术馆、英国卡的夫fire works陶瓷工作室、爱尔兰国家雕塑厂,以及德国柏林、法国巴黎等艺术家驻地创作项目。曾参与美国西弗尼基亚大学、德国卡尔斯鲁厄艺术设计学院等校际交流、交换项目。

陶瓷、雕塑、绘画、及影像作品被诸多国内外公共机构收藏,包括中国中央美术学院美术馆、河南博物院、武汉美术馆、筑中美术馆、香港M+美术馆/乌利.希克收藏,英国威尔士国家博物馆、美国威斯康星大学查森美术馆、韩国光州美术馆、日本濑户美术馆、澳大利亚白兔美术馆、荷兰皇家陶瓷博物馆、加拿大西蒙弗雷泽大学图书馆等。

影像作品曾入选的电影节展映有“中国动画百年,万籁鸣文献展——中国独立动画电影论坛特别展映”,成都大学美术与影视学院美术馆; 11.IZDANJE 25FPS电影节,克罗地亚;“Here out there”展,芬兰赫尔辛基艺术节;荷兰HAFF国际动画电影节,荷兰乌特勒支大学博物馆;斯洛伐克ANČA国际动画电影节等。

                  

                             

GENG Xue 

1983 Born in Jilin Province. China.

Work and live in Beijing, China.

 

GengXue (born in 1983,China.) studied in Sculpture Department in CAFA(Central Academy of Fine Art ,Beijing,China )since 2002, and studied in HFG (Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design,Germany) in 2013.Graduated with Master’s Degree in Printmaking Department of CAFA in 2014. GengXue has produced many works in media such as sculpture, ceramic, installation, film and others.

 

She was invited to exhibit her works in 2019 the 58th Venice Biennale; 2018 the 21st Biennale of Sydney;  2017 “In motion”, 100th anniversary Exhibition, Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics,Holland;  57th Venice Biennale "Memory and Contemporary" Exhibition;  2014 Busan Biennale, Busan, South Korea, ect.  Her pieces were exhibited in museums such as Berkeley Museum of Art, CA.,U.S.; Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University, U.S. ;  Miro Museum (Fundacio Joan Miro) Barcelona, Spain; Applid Art Museum, Frankfurt, Germany; Lehmbruch Museum, Germany. Museum of Contemporary Art, Shanghai,China; University Museum, Utrecht, Holland. ect.
